This is your opportunity to make a strong first impression. Provide a clear and compelling explanation of the problem you are solving and the proposed solution. Avoid using jargon, abbreviations, or language that a layperson may not understand. Your Quick Pitch is a brief statement that each evaluator will read to develop an initial understanding of your solution.

Tell us about your team, with particular emphasis on your relationship to and expertise regarding the problem that you are solving. If relevant, include details about how and why the team was formed. Explain how your team is uniquely positioned to deliver results and why it is the best choice to tackle this problem.

Describe in detail the problem that you are solving. Outline why your team is passionate about solving this problem. Use data to describe the scope of the problem.

What is the Latino Founders Accelerator?Latino Founders is a nonprofit organization supporting the creation of Startups looking to scale their products, technology, and services statewide. Entrepreneurs with a business idea or an existing business participate in a 10-week accelerator program, where they learn business modeling, finance, and prototyping and get paired up with hand-selected mentors and resources to help them launch and scale their businesses.

Who can participate?We seek startup founders with an existing business, proven traction, unique or diverse lived experiences, and a passion for scaling their business within the community that has supported them from the beginning. In order to qualify for the program, founders must: Be 18 years of age or older Have a business registered for at least a year Have a majority ownership of an established business with traction

What types of startups are you looking for?At Latino Founders we are sector agnostic and we provide in-depth support to promising startups looking to scale their companies. examples of industry sectors that we are looking for are Hardware, Software, Athletic and Outdoors, Consumer Packaged Goods, Food and Beverage, Build Environment, and Transportation.

How will submissions be assessed?Once the submission deadline passes, the Latino Founders team will perform an administrative review to confirm each submission meets the applications requirements before advancing to the evaluation panel. The evaluation panel will review each application and will select the companies that will participate on the cohort. Our selection criteria for the Latino Founders Accelerator Program are straightforward. We evaluate applicants based on: - The potential of the startup’s solution to scale - Product/Service development stage - Market potential - Feasibility of the product/service to meet market needs - Current and/or potential market traction - Relevant experience of the entrepreneur and team
