Latino Founders is proud to announce the 2024 finalists for Pitch Latino Portland, a showcase of some of the most innovative and promising Latino-owned startups in the Pacific Northwest. This year’s event will bring together a diverse group of entrepreneurs to pitch their businesses in front of business leaders, and the broader community. The lineup of finalists for Pitch Latino Portland represents a wide array of industries, from tech-driven solutions to sustainable products and cultural enterprises. The following companies will be competing for $30,000 in prizes:

Way of Being: A shop, a teacher, and a friend offering supplies, education, and encouragement to support a sustainable, low-waste lifestyle. Based in Portland, OR, they provide both an e-commerce platform and a brick-and-mortar store to educate and inspire customers to adopt simple, eco-conscious habits for a better planet. Aizenflow: A platform servicing freight brokers, trucking dispatchers, and startups selling to trucking companies, offering crucial data insights to streamline the logistics and transportation industries. The Suma Platform: A bilingual, open-source commerce app co-created by Portland’s frontline communities. Designed to serve low-income people, people of color, adults with disabilities, and other underserved groups, it helps users save on essential expenses like food, utilities, and transportation, while protecting their privacy. The app promotes community-based buying power and respects user data, leading to a significant growth in adoption. Training to Impact: A company that empowers individuals and organizations through tailored training solutions focused on leadership, team development, and performance optimization. Their culturally appropriate programs help clients drive measurable results in productivity, communication, and innovation. Portland Water: A forward-thinking bottled water company offering a more sustainable alternative to traditional bottled water by packaging their naturally sourced water in fully recyclable aluminum cans. Their commitment to reducing single-use plastic waste aligns with the values of the Pacific Northwest, and their water is sourced from a natural spring in Central Oregon. Solarcycle: A startup that provides 100% solar off-grid tiny homes to agrivoltaic farm customers, helping them generate eco-tourism income, meet renewable energy goals, and protect ecosystems. Solarcycle’s solutions are easier to install and maintain than traditional alternatives, making them ideal for sustainable farming and habitat preservation. Ocata: A food brand offering Salvadoran-inspired creamy sauces, crafted with branding and packaging that reflect modern-day Latino culture. Their products cater to fast-paced lifestyles, appealing to both the Latino community and food lovers seeking unique and delicious flavors.


Orox Leather: A multi-generational, family-owned leather goods company based in Portland, OR. Over four decades, the Martinez family has passed down the craft of leatherworking, creating high-quality products that blend tradition with modern design. TODOS Media: A media platform celebrating and elevating stories from underrepresented communities. From podcasts and microseries to editorial content and documentaries, TODOS Media showcases the food, culture, people, and places of Latino communities, normalizing their greatness on the screen. Propio: A platform that automates bookkeeping, financial management, and compliance for accounting firms, making it as easy as texting a friend. Propio integrates with clients' preferred communication channels, like SMS or WhatsApp, and leverages AI to handle inquiries while providing opportunities for accounting firms to upsell advisory services. Estrellitas Bilingual, children aged 3-5 learn Spanish through engaging activities like games, music, movement, art, outdoor exploration, and gardening. The program fosters not only language skills but also key values and attitudes that help children grow socially and academically. Estrellitas goes beyond teaching Spanish by nurturing holistic development that prepares kids for success in any language or setting


The winners of Pitch Latino Seattle and Pitch Latino Bend will also be competing at this year’s Portland event. Their inclusion adds a new level of excitement and competitiveness to the event, bringing together top Latino entrepreneurs from across the Pacific Northwest. Pitch Latino will take place on October 10, 2024, at OMSI - 1945 SE Water Ave, Portland, OR 97214, where finalists will present their businesses in a live pitch format. The audience will vote live and select the winner.
